Submersible pumps are used if the water source is a deep well. It can be used for both farming and residential uses. A submersible pump is called so because the pump is submerged under water and pushes water to the surface. Its advantage is that it can prevent pump cavitation, a problem associated with a high elevation difference between pump and fluid surface.
These units are installed underground, but the solar panels are connected above ground. Submersible pumps are used to move water from inside wells to the surface.
